Sleep is the new superpower. No, seriously it is. Did you know LeBron James (professional basketball player) gets at least 8-12 hours of sleep a night and Roger Feder (professional tennis player) gets at least 12 hours? A good nights sleep does wonders for the mind and body while not resting adequately and abundantly can throw off your immune system, impair decision making, results in unwanted weight gain, mood disorders, and diabetes to name a few. Ummm- no, thank you! On my podcast this week I interviewed Dr. Amy Bender who is a Senior Research Scientist and Adjunct Professor of Kinesiology who shared with us the importance of sleep.
