A few months ago I went to a clinical conference and one of the presenters mentions that iron deficiency anemia is linked to an elevated Hemoglobin A1C. As a Certified Diabetes Educator I never heard this information before. In today’s video we’re going to look at how this link is even possible and other factors that can impact A1C levels.
