The ADIME process involves a nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation. As a dietetic intern beginning the assessment process was challenging. I did not know what questions to ask in order to formulate my nutrition diagnosis. The assessment process involves asking the patient a series of questions in order to collect data pertinent to the nutrition-related history, anthropometric and biochemical data, and nutrition-focused physical findings to name a few.
In today’s view I am going to walk you through how I conduct a nutrition assessment. Of course every dietitian has their own style and my style is 8 years in the making at the time of this recording.
